LPA enters PAR, may develop into tropical depression

A low pressure area (LPA) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday and may develop into a tropical depression within 48 hours.

PAGASA warns that the LPA's trough will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas and Caraga.

Light to moderate rains with at times heavy rainfall are expected in Occidental Mindoro and Palawan due to the southwest monsoon or habagat, increasing risks of flash floods and landslides.

The rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
