FEU-D, UE tied for first in UAAP JHS Basketball

Far Eastern University-Diliman (FEU-D) and the University of the East (UE) remain tied for first place in the UAAP Season 87 Junior High School Basketball Tournament after securing their second victories on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

FEU-D defeated National University Nazareth School with a score of 89-71, while UE dominated UP Integrated School by a margin of 91-44.

Prince Cariño led FEU-D with 14 points and nine rebounds, CP Miranda contributed 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists, and Mark Dulin, Duke Santos, Carl Diaz, and Anton Lopez each scored in double digits.

Coach Arwind Santos emphasized that the team's focus was on defensive pressure rather than revenge, stating, 'Our motivation is to return our defense from backcourt to frontcourt.'

In UE's game against UPIS, Goodluck Okebata led with 17 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks, while Neil Garcia added 14 points and seven rebounds.
