Ateneo beats De La Salle-Zobel 72-64 in UAAP Junior High School Boys' Basketball

Ateneo de Manila University secured a crucial victory over De La Salle-Zobel with a score of 72-64 in the UAAP Season 87 Junior High School Boys' Basketball Tournament on Sunday.

The win helped Ateneo maintain its position tied for second place at 2-1, alongside De La Salle-Zobel and University of Santo Tomas Tiger Cubs, who defeated Adamson Baby Falcons with a score of 91-67.

Sky Jazul delivered a clutch performance in the final minutes, scoring 21 points and grabbing nine rebounds to lead his team back from a deficit.

Blue Eagles' head coach Reggie Arumin praised the players for their determination after losing to UST last week, noting that they showed resilience during practice.

In addition to Jazul's standout play, Zane Kallos contributed significantly with 22 points, 21 rebounds, and six assists, while YJ Lacsamana and JD Juangco added 14 and 12 points respectively.
