FEU Lady Tamaraws come from behind to beat UST in UAAP

In a thrilling four-set comeback victory on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena, the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws defeated the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses during the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament.

Faida Bakanke led FEU with 22 points, while Gerzel Petallo contributed 12 points and made a clutch fourth-set barrage that turned the tide in favor of the Lady Tamaraws.

Down one set to two, UST nearly forced a decisive fifth set but fell short as Petallo rallied the team for a comeback victory in the fourth set.

With this win, FEU improves to 5-3 and ties with UST in third place; the Lady Tamaraws are now looking to climb to solo second place when they play University of the East on Wednesday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.

Head coach Tina Salak emphasized that her team must not take UE lightly despite their winless record, stressing the importance of continuing their pursuit of goals in the second round before focusing on securing a Final Four spot.
