Vice Pres Sara Duterte thanks INC for 'National Rally for Peace'

Vice President Sara Duterte thanked the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) on Monday for organizing a nationwide rally aimed at promoting peace and progress in the Philippines.

In her message shared by the Office of the Vice President, Duterte highlighted the rally as a powerful display of unity and faith, emphasizing its importance amid rising commodity prices and poverty.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte also thanked the INC and its executive minister Eduardo Manalo for organizing the 'National Rally for Peace,' which attracted around 1.5 million attendees in Manila alone.

The INC has been holding these rallies to support President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s stance against impeachment proceedings targeting Vice President Sara Duterte, who is seen as a potential contender in the 028 presidential elections.

According to the Philippine National Police (PNP), around 2.8 million INC members had participated in peace rallies across the country by Monday noon, marking a significant increase from previously reported figures.
