NU wins volleyball, tennis in UAAP Season 86

National University (NU) secured their first win in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament on Saturday and continued their undefeated streak with a decisive victory over Ateneo de Manila University in women's tennis on Sunday.

In the women's tennis match, NU defeated Ateneo with scores of 3-2, improving their record to 3-0 at the top of the standings.

Former rookie-MVP Bella Belen led the Lady Bulldogs in volleyball with 21 points, while Mae Bornia, last year's MVP, spearheaded NU’s women's tennis team, emphasizing the need for continued improvement despite the win.

Elsie Abarquez, Angela Cabaral and Rivie Baulete, and Adeline Abadia were key contributors to the victory with decisive wins in singles matches.

The Lady Bulldogs' captain, Allyssa Mae Bornia, expressed satisfaction with the team's performance but noted areas for improvement.
