Ateneo beats UE in men's volleyball, moves to fifth place

Ateneo de Manila University secured a victory over the University of the East in their UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball match with scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-19, and 25-20 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Kennedy Batas led Ateneo with 25 points and eight digs, improving their league record to 6-6 for fifth place behind Far Eastern University (10-1), National University (9-2), De La Salle University (7-3) and University of Santo Tomas (7-5).

Coach Timmy Sto. Tomas emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities and working hard to secure a semifinals slot.

Ateneo's last two games will be against La Salle on April 21 and Adamson University on April 24, while UST faces UE on April 21 and La Salle on April 27.

FEU also clinched a spot in the women’s Final Four with a win over UST, completing the semifinal cast for both divisions.
