Adamson advances to UAAP softball finals with 9-game winning streak

Defending champion Adamson University secured a spot in the UAAP Season 87 softball finals for the 11th consecutive year by defeating Ateneo de Manila University with a score of 16-0 on Saturday.

Adamson extended their winning streak to nine games, including a decisive victory over UP Diliman with a score of 4-1 on Tuesday at Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.

Head coach Ana Santiago praised her team's resilience and focus during the crucial match, emphasizing that they capitalized on an error by UP Diliman in the fourth inning.

UP head coach Ron Pagkaliwagan acknowledged his team's struggle to maintain momentum after a key defensive miscue, leading to their second loss of the season.

Adamson will face De La Salle University for an elimination-round sweep on Saturday at 10 a.m., while UP Diliman and University of Santo Tomas will play earlier that day at 8 a.m.
