Ateneo sweeps Adamson in men's and women's UAAP volleyball

Ateneo de Manila University secured victories over Adamson University in both the men's and women's UAAP Season 87 volleyball tournaments on Saturday, March 29.

In the women's tournament, Ateneo triumphed with a score of 25-23, 25-14, 25-23, improving their record to 4-5 in the standings.

Lyann De Guzman led the women's squad with 12 points, while AC Miner contributed 13 points, and Taks Fujimoto distributed 17 excellent sets.

In the men's tournament, Ateneo won with a score of 25-21, 19-25, 25-16, 25-17, improving their record to 6-3 and securing third place in the standings.

University of Santo Tomas (UST) snapped its three-game losing streak by defeating De La Salle University with a score of 25-22, 25-22, 16-25, 25-22.

Kennedy Batas led Ateneo's men's team with 20 points and 11 receptions, while Jian Matthew Salarzon contributed 19 points and Amil Pacinio Jr. added 15 points including three aces.
