Adamson wins 10-0 over Ateneo, 19-17 vs UP

Adamson University secured its second win in the UAAP Season 87 baseball tournament with a 10-0 shutout over Ateneo de Manila University on Wednesday at Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.

Building on their momentum, Adamson completed a dramatic comeback against UP Fighting Maroons after five days and 19 hours, winning 19-17 in ten innings to solidify its provisional third-place standing with a 3-2 win-loss record.

Designated hitter Joao Severino led the offensive surge with two hits and an RBI, while rookie pitcher James Nisnisan earned the victory by anchoring the defense and limiting UP's rally attempts.

Rookie infielder James Nisnisan played a crucial role in Adamson's comeback, delivering a perfectly placed pitch to Eman Javier for the final out, which set up Zerge Madarimot’s crucial catch.

UP struggled against Adamson's offensive onslaught, especially after Mark Vincent Simbajon threw out Aaron Nicha attempting to steal second, stopping UP's momentum and securing Adamson's third victory of the season.
