DOLE launches PHP5K aid for workers in Western Visayas, Region 9

DOLE has announced financial aid programs in Western Visayas and Region 9 to support employees affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

In Western Visayas, 14,800 employees from 625 establishments can receive PHP5,000 each under CAMP, with initial disbursements starting on Friday.

DOLE has allocated PHP62 million for this program in Western Visayas and over PHP1.4 billion nationwide to assist workers affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

In Region 9, 28,979 employers have applied for CAMP support, aiming to help workers through flexible work arrangements or temporary closures due to the pandemic.

Employers must apply for their employees to benefit from the program, and applications can be submitted online at www.dole9portal.com/camp with a deadline of April 13.
