DSWD prepares PHP5M worth of food packs for Caraga

DSWD is preparing over PHP5 million worth of food packs in Caraga to assist families affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

As of Wednesday, 15,599 family food packs are ready for distribution and more are being repacked at the DSWD's Disaster Operations Center in Butuan City.

The prepositioned food packs can be utilized for relief augmentation upon request from local government units or distributed under food-for-work programs and projects.

In Eastern Visayas, 2,084 family food packs along with other non-food items are on standby to address potential needs arising from the health crisis.

DSWD-Antique has prepositioned 2,600 family food packs across four towns in Antique province, each pack containing essential provisions for a two-day supply for a five-member family.
