Shear line, amihan to bring scattered rains across PH

The Shear Line, Northeast Monsoon (amihan), and easterlies are expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains to various parts of the Philippines on Thursday.

The Shear Line will affect Visayas and the eastern portion of Southern Luzon, bringing cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms to Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Laguna, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Aklan, and Capiz.

Heavy to intense rains are forecast in Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes and Albay, with moderate to heavy rains also expected in Laguna, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Sorsogon, Masbate, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar.

Easterlies will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Caraga, Davao de Oro, and Davao Oriental.

The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains to Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.

Moderate to heavy rains in the aforementioned areas could result in flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Strong to gale winds and rough to very rough coastal waters will prevail across Northern Luzon, eastern sections of Central Luzon and Southern Luzon, and Visayas.
