Las Piñas distributes P8K SAP aid to 4,000 families

A total of 4,000 qualified beneficiaries in Las Piñas have already received their P8,000 cash assistance under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Beneficiaries from barangays Ilaya, Pulanglupa Dos, CAA, Talon 3, and Almanza Dos were among the first to receive the aid.

The P541,904,000 fund for 67,738 qualified families came from the DSWD national office and was processed through the City Treasury Office, subject to auditing procedures.

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) is continuing the validation and distribution of SAP forms in the remaining 15 barangays.

Families are disqualified if they are already 4Ps members, employed in the formal sector (who should apply at DOLE), government employees, or drivers who can avail of LTFRB assistance.

Senior citizens and those from the middle class are not qualified for the SAP cash aid.
