DSWD distributes over P17B in SAP aid to 3M families

The DSWD has allocated more than P79.35 billion to local government units (LGUs), which is over 98 percent of the P80.88 billion allocated to its regional offices for distribution to non-CCT SAP beneficiaries.

As of April 24, the total number of non-4Ps beneficiaries who received SAP funds amounted to 3,011,705 across all 17 regions.

The DSWD has transferred P12.46 billion in SAP funds to the 17 LGUs in the National Capital Region (NCR) to benefit 1,558,615 low-income, non-4Ps families.

Of these, P2.51 billion has been disbursed to 349,915 low-income households in Metro Manila, with Caloocan city recording the highest payout of P261 million for 32,636 beneficiaries.

San Juan city had the lowest payout of P2.67 million for 334 beneficiaries, while Pasig city was second with P160.13 million for 20,017 recipients.

In the NCR, low-income households are entitled to receive P8,000 cash aid per recipient.

Parañaque, Marikina, Mandaluyong, Taguig, Las Piñas, Malabon, Navotas, Pasay, Pateros, Makati, Muntinlupa, and San Juan are among the LGUs that distributed significant amounts to non-4Ps beneficiaries.
