Davao Oriental to distribute P6,000 SAP aid to 64,000 families

Over 64,000 indigent families in Davao Oriental are set to receive P6,000 in cash aid from the DSWD's Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

A total of P617 million has been allocated and downloaded to the 11 local government units (LGUs) in the province for the disbursement of the financial assistance.

The distribution of aid will commence once the LGUs submit their final beneficiary lists for validation by the DSWD.

Beneficiaries will receive their Social Amelioration Cards for completion by the head of the household during a house-to-house distribution.

The DSWD aims to complete the disbursement of aid across all municipalities and the city by next week, with some barangays already receiving their assistance.

Each qualified family will receive P6,000 for April and another P6,000 for May, with the subsidy calculated based on the regional minimum wage.

Approximately 44,000 4Ps beneficiaries are automatic recipients and have already received P4,650, with the remaining amount covering rice and health grants.
