ITCZ, shear line, Amihan to bring rains over PH Sunday

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), shear line, and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to several areas of the country on Sunday.

Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Negros Island Region, and Palawan will experience these conditions due to the ITCZ, with moderate to at times heavy rains possibly leading to flash floods or landslides.

Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line, which could also cause flash floods or landslides.

The Northeast Monsoon is affecting the rest of Northern Luzon, bringing cloudy skies with rains to Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and the rest of Cagayan Valley, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides.

The Ilocos Region and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.
