Shear line, amihan to bring rains over Luzon

The shear line and the northeast monsoon, locally known as "amihan," are expected to bring rain to various parts of Luzon.

PAGASA forecasts cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Quezon and the Bicol Region due to the shear line.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with rains from the northeast monsoon.

These weather conditions may lead to flash floods or landslides, according to PAGASA's warning.

The "amihan" will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains to the Ilocos region, the rest of the Cordillera region, and Central Luzon.

Metro Manila and the remainder of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by easterlies.

Northern Luzon is anticipated to experience strong to gale winds and rough to very rough seas.

PAGASA advises that sea travel for small seacraft is dangerous along the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon and the northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon.
