3 weather systems to bring rains across PH

Three weather systems, the shear line, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), and the northeast monsoon or 'amihan', are expected to bring rains across the Philippines on Monday.

The shear line will cause scattered rains and thunderstorms in the eastern parts of central and southern Luzon, specifically mentioning Quezon, Aurora, the Bicol Region, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, and Batangas.

The ITCZ will bring similar weather conditions to the Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan.

Moderate to heavy rains are specifically forecast over several provinces including Quezon, Aurora, the Bicol provinces, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Northern and Eastern Samar, and Dinagat Islands.

PAGASA warned that flash floods and landslides are possible in areas experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall.

The 'amihan' will bring rains to Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region, with isolated light rains expected in Ilocos Region and parts of Central Luzon.

Isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms are anticipated over the rest of the country.
