ITCZ, shear line, Amihan to bring rains across PH

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), shear line, and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) are expected to bring rains to various parts of the Philippines in the next 24 hours.

The ITCZ will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms to the Bicol Region, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Laguna, Rizal, Quezon, and Aurora.

Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region will experience cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan.

These moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides in affected areas.

The Amihan will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon, with no significant impact expected.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will observe partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, which may also trigger flash floods or landslides.
