PAGASA forecasts scattered rains over PH due to shearline, ITCZ

Scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected in several parts of the Philippines on Tuesday due to the shearline and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), according to PAGASA.

Areas in Central and Southern Luzon, including Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Bicol Region, will experience scattered rains due to the shearline.

The ITCZ will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to parts of Mindanao and Palawan, specifically Zamboanga del Norte and Palawan.

PAGASA forecasts heavy to intense rains over Quezon and Camarines Norte, with moderate to heavy rains expected in Aurora, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, and Sorsogon, warning of possible flash floods and landslides in these areas.

The northeast monsoon will also bring rains over Cagayan Valley and parts of the Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon.

Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon will experience strong to gale winds.

The rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao can expect moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
