Amihan, shear line bring rains to Northern Luzon

The northeast monsoon (amihan) is affecting extreme Northern Luzon, bringing moderate to heavy rains, potentially causing flash floods or landslides, to Batanes.

The shear line continues to impact the eastern section of Central Luzon and the rest of Northern Luzon, including Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora, with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Easterlies are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Palawan, with a possibility of flash floods or landslides.

The Ilocos Region and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
