Shear line, amihan bring rains over parts of Luzon

Two weather systems, the shear line and the northeast monsoon (amihan), are causing cloudy skies with rain over parts of Luzon, according to PAGASA.

Batanes will experience cloudy skies with rain due to the amihan.

Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of these weather conditions.

Strong to gale-force winds with rough seas can be expected over extreme Northern Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds with moderate to tough seas are anticipated over the rest of Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon.
