Amihan, shear line to bring rains over Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and the shear line will continue to bring rains over Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said on Sunday afternoon.

Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region will experience cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms will persist over Bicol Region (Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur), Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Quezon, and Aurora due to the shear line.

The Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the Amihan, with no significant weather impact expected.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to at times heavy rains may cause flash floods or landslides in areas affected by the Amihan and shear line.

Strong winds and coastal waters are expected in the eastern section of Luzon, while the eastern section of Visayas will experience moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.
