Shear line, amihan to bring rains in parts of Luzon

The shear line and northeast monsoon are expected to bring cloudy skies and rain showers to parts of Northern and Central Luzon on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and parts of Cagayan Valley, excluding Batanes, will experience scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line, with potential for moderate to heavy rainfall.

Batanes province will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains due to the northeast monsoon.

PAGASA warns of possible flash floods or landslides in affected areas if moderate to heavy rains occur.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms from localized thunderstorms.

Extreme Northern Luzon is expected to experience strong to gale winds and moderate to rough seas, while other parts of Northern Luzon and eastern Central Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate coastal waters.

The remaining parts of the archipelago will have light to moderate wind conditions and slight to moderate seas.
