Cebu welcomes 1st batch of repatriated OFWs
Forty-three repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Cebu arrived at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport on Friday via a sweeper flight.
They were stranded in Manila due to the enhanced community quarantine and presented negative PCR test results and certifications from the Bureau of Quarantine.
These OFWs have completed their 14-day quarantine in Manila and were cleared to travel.
They were endorsed to their respective local government units through the Barangay Health Response Team for monitoring at home.
The Inter-Agency Task Group for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases is prepared to receive and assist more returning OFWs.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration has coordinated with LGUs to facilitate the transportation of these repatriated workers.
