Almost 17,000 repatriated OFWs have been tested for COVID-19 -- DOTr
Nearly 17,000 repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have been tested for COVID-19 by the government from May 2 to May 12.
These tests were conducted by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Philippine Coast Guard.
Among those tested were 3,838 Filipino seafarers aboard cruise ships at Manila Bay Anchorage and 2,510 OFWs tested at the Palacio de Maynila Testing Center.
Additional tests were administered to 1,020 OFWs in quarantine facilities and 368 OFWs at the airport.
At least 400 OFWs have been tested at the airport since May 11 before being transported to quarantine facilities.
