LPA brings scattered rains and thunderstorms across parts of Luzon

A low pressure area (LPA) located southwest of Alabat, Quezon, brought scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across parts of Luzon on Thursday.

PAGASA warned that Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, and Pangasinan would experience these conditions.

The northeast monsoon continued to cause light rains over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands, while isolated rain showers were expected elsewhere due to localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds and rough seas prevailed in northern and western sections of northern Luzon.

PAGASA noted that the LPA had a slim chance of developing into a tropical depression.
