Robredo opposes Duque's resignation amid health crisis

Vice President Leni Robredo disagrees with calls for Health Secretary Francisco Duque III's resignation during the coronavirus pandemic.

Robredo believes replacing Duque mid-crisis would be more detrimental to the government’s response, stating it is difficult to change leadership in the middle of a battle.

She also said that instead of changing personnel, improving policies and addressing criticisms could better enhance the situation.
