Leachon resigns as NTF adviser over tweets criticizing DOH

Dr Tony Leachon resigned as special adviser to the National Task Force Against COVID-19 on Wednesday, June 17.

Leachon's resignation came after a series of tweets criticizing the DOH's handling of the pandemic and its data management.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said President Duterte was displeased with Leachon’s remarks against the DOH.

Roque denied pushing for Leachon’s removal, stating that it was Duterte who noted Leachon should not be criticizing the government's response.
