Valdez sees strong return from injury as confidence boost

Creamline captain Alyssa Valdez sees her recent return from injury and strong performance in their last preliminary game against Galeries Tower as a confidence booster ahead of the qualifying round.

Valdez scored 16 points, seven digs, and seven excellent receptions in Thursday's match, helping Creamline secure the top seed with a record of 10-1.

Despite clinching first place, Valdez emphasized that their lone loss to PLDT was a wake-up call, highlighting areas for improvement such as system discipline, blocking, and counter attacks moving forward.

The Cool Smashers will face the No.12 team in the qualifying round but are taking it one game at a time, looking forward to the new format of play.

Valdez noted that the loss was humbling and provided an opportunity for the team to work on minor details such as handling free balls to secure their title-retention bid.
