Creamline clinches PVL All-Filipino top spot

Creamline secured its seventh consecutive victory and clinched the top spot in the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference preliminaries by defeating Galeries in a three-set match on Thursday at the PhilSports Arena.

Despite facing a strong challenge from Galeries, especially in Set 2 where they led by eight points, Creamline rallied to win with crucial spikes from Tots Carlos and Alyssa Valdez.

Carlos led the team with a game-high 18 points on 16 attacks, while Valdez contributed 16 points anchored on 15 attacks and a block.

Coach Sherwin Meneses credited his players' resilience in handling tough matches as key to their victory against Galeries, who had a strong start but ultimately fell short.

Creamline faces the 12th-seeded Nxled Chameleons in the qualifying round, while Petro Gazz Angels, with the same record but superior set ratio, will face the 11th-ranked Capital1 Solar Spikers.

The quarterfinals feature a best-of-three series and semifinals follow a round-robin format, with a tiebreaker if needed.
