Govt mulls prioritizing specific COVID-19 vaccines for OFWs, seafarers

The government is considering prioritizing specific brands of COVID-19 vaccines for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and seafarers to facilitate their travel abroad.

Senator Bong Go proposed during a televised briefing that OFWs and seafarers should receive preferred vaccine brands if they present deployment orders or contracts from foreign employers.

Some countries are allowing entry only to travelers vaccinated with certain brands, creating uncertainty for those without approved vaccines.
