Duterte orders LGUs not to disclose COVID-19 vaccine brands

President Duterte ordered local government units not to disclose the brand of COVID-19 vaccines available at vaccination sites to prevent overcrowding.

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año stated that announcing vaccine brands could lead to preference for certain types, causing crowds and hindering social distancing.

This directive follows reports of long queues in Manila and Paranaque cities where people waited hours to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
