Tourism front-liners included in A1 vaccine priority group

The Department of Tourism (DOT) welcomed the inclusion of tourism front-liners, including those working in quarantine and isolation hotels, into the A1 priority group for COVID-19 vaccinations.

Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat expressed gratitude to vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. for approving this move on May 15.

Puyat emphasized that these workers have been risking their lives by reporting to work during the pandemic's early stages, making it crucial to protect them with vaccinations.
