Galvez: PH truthful on vaccine numbers, leads ASEAN in daily jabs

Philippine vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. insists that the government has been truthful in reporting COVID-19 vaccination numbers.

According to Galvez, the Philippines ranks second in Southeast Asia for total number of administered doses but fourth when considering fully vaccinated individuals.

Galvez also claims the country leads among five major ASEAN nations in daily vaccinations with an average rate of 150,000 jabs per day and aims to increase this to 740,000 by Q4 2021.

The Philippines has been vaccinating one million individuals weekly for two consecutive weeks, demonstrating the highest rate and tempo in ASEAN.

Galvez noted that the country is among four nations with adequate accountability in early COVID-19 fiscal policy responses.
