UST Tigresses fall short in UAAP finals but earn praise for spirited performance

The University of Santo Tomas Tigresses concluded their UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament with pride despite falling short in the finals.

Coach KungFu Reyes praised his team for their hard-fighting spirit and unexpected season-long performance, highlighting the contributions of sophomore hitter Xyza Gula who stepped up in the absence of injured Rookie of the Year Angge Poyos.

Reyes emphasized that while they lacked height compared to other teams, the Tigresses' heart and determination made them a formidable force in the tournament, with libero Detdet Pepito providing strong leadership.

Despite facing stronger opponents like National University's Lady Bulldogs, UST fought hard but ultimately fell short due to injuries and fatigue in the crucial moments of Game 3.
