Belen wins 2nd MVP, NU sweeps UAAP men's title

National University star spiker Bella Belen won her second Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball campaign on Wednesday, May 15.

Belen led National University to victory over the University of Santo Tomas Tigresses with an average of 16 points, 9.5 digs, and 7.5 receptions per game, securing their championship win in a thrilling match at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The following day, NU claimed its fourth consecutive UAAP men's volleyball crown by defeating UST 25-21, 22-25, 25-17, 25-15 in Game 2.

Owa Retamar was named Finals MVP for the second straight year and helped lead his team to victory with 26 excellent sets.

After their UAAP victories, Bella Belen expressed her intention to remain at National University while considering joining the Philippine national volleyball team 'Alas Pilipinas' for the Women's AVC Challenge Cup from May 22 to 29 at Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
