UST wins 3-0 against Mapua, maintains perfect record

University of Santo Tomas (UST) maintained its perfect record in the 2024 Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-Season Championship with a dominant victory over Mapua University, winning 3-0 on Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

The Tigresses followed up their previous day's win against Lyceum of the Philippines University with another strong performance, showcasing their title-winning form from the V-League Women's Collegiate Championship earlier in the week.

UST's key players, including Kyla Cordora, Xyza Gula, and Margaret Altea, contributed significantly to the victory, while eight other players also scored points.

With a 2-0 record and an upcoming match against Perpetual Help next week, UST is well-positioned for a quarterfinal appearance alongside undefeated University of the East in Pool B.

University of the Philippines secured its first win in the tournament by defeating Colegio de San Juan de Letran 3-1 on Sunday, avenging their earlier loss to De La Salle University.
