Angge Poyos named women's MVP, GBoy de Vega men's MVP in V-League

Angge Poyos from the University of Santo Tomas was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the women's division, while GBoy de Vega received the MVP award for the men's division in the 2024 V-League Collegiate Challenge.

Poyos led UST to the Finals and scored a total of 123 points with high rankings in spiking, blocking, and serving, placing fourth overall in spiking success rate and eighth in digging efficiency.

De Vega and the Golden Spikers settled for fourth place after losing to National University in the bronze match of the men's division. He was the second-best scorer with 122 points on 111 attacks, six blocks, and five aces.

Poyos led the women's V-League Supreme Team along with teammates Regina Jurado (Best Opposite Spiker), Cassie Carballo (Best Setter), Em Banagua (Best Middle Blocker), and Bernadett Pepito (Best Libero).

At the men's side, De Vega spearheaded the V-League Supreme Team with teammate Edlyn Colinares and Joshua Magalaman of De La Salle University as Best Middle Blockers, Jelord Talisayan of Far Eastern University and Chris Hernandez from La Salle as Best Outside Spikers.
