National University wins pre-season volleyball match

National University secured its second victory in the 2024 Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-season Championships, defeating Emilio Aguinaldo College with a score of 25-15, 25-7, and 25-13.

Wing spiker Arah Panique led National University with ten points including eight from attacks and two match-clinching aces, contributing significantly to the team's success.

Opposite Alyssa Solomon and reigning Most Valuable Player Mhicaela Belen also scored seven points each, while middle blocker Minierva Maaya added six points including two aces.

Panique emphasized that despite their dominant performance, the team still needs to address their 22 errors and improve in certain areas.

Far Eastern University will face Adamson University on Saturday at 4 p.m. in an effort to secure a playoff spot.

In Pool A, Arellano University aims for its third win against Ateneo de Manila University at 11:30 a.m., while San Beda University and Emilio Aguinaldo College will compete at 2 p.m.
