UST secures top seed in V-League Women's Collegiate Challenge

University of Santo Tomas secured the top seed in the semifinals of the 2024 V-League Women's Collegiate Challenge after sweeping Colegio de San Juan de Letran on Friday at the Paco Arena.

The Golden Tigresses won by scores of 25-15, 25-23, 25-27, and 25-19 to complete a perfect 6-0 record in the preliminary round.

UST's rookie standout Ange Poyos led with 17 points, all on kills, while Regine Jurado added 18 points on 14 kills and four blocks.

The team will face reigning champion College of St. Benilde in the semifinals as they look to maintain their winning streak.

UST's dominance in the preliminary round showcases their strength heading into the next phase of the competition.
