De La Salle beats UP in women's volleyball

De La Salle University's women's volleyball team secured a victory over the University of the Philippines in the UAAP Season 87 tournament on Sunday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Angel Canino led De La Salle to a 3-1 set win with scores of 25-22, 24-26, 25-18, and 25-17, improving their team standing to 2-2 and forging a triple-tie for third place with the University of the Philippines and Adamson University.

Despite an uncharacteristic start to the season, Canino emphasized that consistency is key as they continue to navigate through growing pains, highlighting the importance of guiding younger players.

The team's mindset remains focused on one day at a time, aiming to bring confidence in every game and improve their connection among each other.

De La Salle's next challenge will be against University of the East at the Pasay Bayside arena in their upcoming match.
