UST secures Final Four spot in men's volleyball

University of Santo Tomas secured a Final Four spot in the UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball tournament by defeating University of the East in three straight sets, 25-15, 25-21, and 25-16, on Sunday at Araneta Coliseum.

Josh Ybañez led UST with 18 points and 11 excellent receptions as his team improved to an 8-5 record.

UST's win was crucial after Ateneo de Manila University lost to De La Salle University earlier in the day, securing their semifinal berth.

Assistant coach Benjamin Mape highlighted the team's determination and focus on executing strategies for future matches as they aim to reach the Finals.

UE struggled with key players John Aligayon and Angelo Reyes scoring only eight points each, unable to prevent UST from advancing despite their efforts.
