UST beats NU 67-64 in UAAP men's basketball

University of Santo Tomas (UST) and National University faced each other in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament on Saturday, September 21, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

UST returned to its winning ways with a narrow victory over NU, defeating them 67-64 after coming off a loss to Adamson University last week.

Mo Tounkara led UST with another double-double performance of 15 points and 10 rebounds, while veteran Christian Manaytay contributed 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and a steal.

Forthsky Padrigao played a crucial role in the final moments by scoring key baskets to help secure the victory for UST.

National University fell to a 1-3 record after this loss, dealing with the absence of Mo Diassana who is out for the season due to an ACL injury.
