Yerro scores buzzer-beater, Adamson beats NU 60-58

Joshua Yerro scored the buzzer-beating game-winning tip shot in Adamson University's 60-58 victory over National University in their UAAP Season 87 basketball match on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

With only 0.3 seconds left, Yerro tipped the ball in after receiving a pass from Jhon Calisay to secure the win for Adamson, who improved their record to three wins and two losses.

Assistant coach Gilbert Lao designed the final play that led to the winning basket, as revealed by head coach Nash Racela during the postgame interview.

Yerro expressed confidence in the play despite the short time frame, saying, 'Just believe me. This shot will go in.'

Matthew Montebon was Adamson's top scorer with 15 points, while Yerro contributed 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

National University dropped to a 1-4 record in the season after this loss.
