Lingolingo's buzzer-beater keeps UE's streak going

Wello Lingolingo scored a buzzer-beater to secure University of the East's (UE) 63-62 victory over Adamson University in the UAAP men's basketball game on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

UE head coach Jack Santiago praised Lingolingo for demonstrating resilience and character, noting that his team must maintain their winning mentality heading into the second round of games.

Lingolingo's heroics extended UE's winning streak to five games, their best start in almost two decades, securing third place in the standings with a 5-2 record at the end of the first round.

Coach Santiago expressed gratitude towards the school community for their unwavering support and acknowledged the pressure his team faces after beating three of last year's Final 4 teams.

Santiago emphasized humility and a return to zero, stressing that despite their impressive start in Season 87, they have not achieved anything yet and still face seven more games in Round 2.
