UE, NUNS advance to UAAP boys' volleyball finals

The University of the East (UE) Junior Red Warriors and National University-Nazareth School (NUNS) have advanced to the boys' volleyball championship for Season 86 of the UAAP, following their victories in the semifinals on Friday.

UE secured their place in the finals by defeating Far Eastern University-Diliman with a final score of 8-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-21, marking their first Finals appearance since Season 78.

National University-Nazareth School advanced to the finals after beating the University of Santo Tomas Junior Golden Spikers with a score of 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-17.

UE's victory was capped off by team captain Jan Macam's match-clinching attack, while National University-Nazareth School relied on the playmaking of Jeffe Gallego Jr. and strong net presence from Migs Egger to secure their spot in the finals.

The boys' volleyball championship series will begin on Tuesday at 1 p.m., with UE head coach Raffy Mosuela expressing confidence that his team is motivated and ready for the challenge.
