UST secures No. 2 spot in UAAP girls' volleyball semis, faces NUNS or FEU-D on Friday

University of Santo Tomas secured the No. 2 spot in the UAAP Season 86 girls' volleyball step-ladder semifinals after defeating National University Nazareth School in a five-set match on Wednesday.

UST will face either NUNS or Far Eastern University-Diliman based on the outcome of their knockout game, which takes place on Friday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Margaret Altea led UST's comeback from a 4-5 deficit to take control and secure victory, demonstrating the team's determination following a previous loss to NUNS.

UST head coach Kungfu Reyes highlighted his players' eagerness and resilience after overcoming the initial setback in the first set.

Adamson University has secured their place in the finals of UAAP Season 86 girls' volleyball by winning all 12 games in the elimination round.
