NUNS advances to UAAP high school boys finals, set to face Adamson

National University Nazareth School (NUNS) secured an 80-69 victory over Far Eastern University-Diliman on Wednesday, advancing to the finals of the UAAP Season 86 high school boys basketball championship.

Coach Kevin de Castro praised his team's performance and heart, noting their desire to avenge last year's loss to FEU in the Final Four.

Nigerian center Collins Akowe led NUNS with 24 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, and two blocks, while Klein Tagotongan contributed 12 points and four rebounds; Alnhumaeri Usop added 10 points.

Veejay Pre led the Baby Tamaraws with 23 points.

Adamson University clinched its place in the finals after defeating the University of Santo Tomas 80-66 on Wednesday, marking their second consecutive appearance.

Coach Mike Fermin emphasized the importance of staying within the game plan throughout the entire match to avoid first-half struggles seen against NUNS earlier.
